Co-Cabinet Spokesman Minister Rajitha Senarathne says a new Cabinet of Ministers will be appointed on the 13th of April.
Speaking during the Cabinet media briefing, Minister Senarathne said the relevant subject Ministers will be appointed scientifically.
Minister Senarathne stressed although certain subject Ministers might not change they will be sworn in once again.
The Minister noted the relevant subjects will be allocated based on recommendations made by the Secretaries of the President and the Prime Minister, adding that apart from a few ministries, all other subject Ministers will be appointed accordingly.
In response to a question raised by Journalists if the number of Ministers will be reduced through the appointment of a new Cabinet, Minister Senarathne said the number of Ministers will be appointed according to the framework of the Constitution.
Minister Rajitha Senaratne said the Sri Lanka Freedom Party informed that its stance will be announced today.
